REG was proud to provide entertainment, planning, and production for the grand opening of FedExForum. From the staff graduation party to the VIP party to the Open House with 30,000 visitors, REG and the Grizzlies worked to present the new arena to the public in spectacular fashion.
REG used great local talent for the grand opening celebrations, including The Dempseys, Elmo & the Shades, Ms. Ruby Wilson, the After Dark Band, and The Venus Mission.
Eschewing the traditional ribbon-cutting, REG devised the world's largest FedEx package for the Grand Opening. The box opened to reveal a variety of entertainers and athletes who represented the activities that will occur within the arena. The box-opening stunt received national media attention and delighted the thousands of people assembled on the plaza to tour the facility.
Throughout the three months of planning and executing the myriad events, REG and the Grizzlies staff worked closely on innumerable details. The events went flawlessly and gave the country's newest and finest arena a truly grand opening.
"REG was a pleasure to work with...and quickly became part of the Grizzlies' family. On behalf of the entire organization, a heartfelt thank you and congratulations." — Mike Golub, Memphis Grizzlies

Members of the Memphis Ballet come out of the box to a cheering crowd. Other performers that appeared from the box included a rock band, tumblers, a hockey player, and, of course, Grizz.
When the doors to the public opened, thousands streamed into the lobby and were greeted with The Venus Mission playing "Rock 'n Roll Part II" and other high-energy songs.

In addition to great live music, REG booked stiltwalkers, clowns, jugglers, and face painters to wander thoughout the building and entertain all day.
The After Dark Band played on the FedExForum's floor and was simulcast on the stunning new video scoreboard.
The Dempseys entertained thousands as the public toured the new building at the Open House.
