A native of The Netherlands, Rene moved to America over 40 years ago and quickly established himself as a talented, polished pianist and band leader. With his versatile musical skills, he's performed with such stars as Danny Thomas, Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Wayne Newton, Gladys Knight, and Merle Haggard.
In the Memphis area, Rene is well-known on the society scene, having performed in all the region's country clubs, hotel ballrooms, and numerous private homes. He can play solo piano or bring a small combo. He also performs regularly with the Memphis Dance Orchestra.
For sophisticated jazz and easy-listening, it doesn't get much better than Rene Koopman.
