Amy LaVere

A burgeoning star, Amy LaVere is becoming renowned worldwide for her songwriting, bass playing, and vocals. She sings with a sweet, haunting voice that can turn on a dime from innocent to lusty ("Norah Jones with an added Cyndi Lauper element" -- Mojo Magazine; "Spookiness suits her" -- New York Times). With her new band, she's created an inventive, wildly entertaining show that has crowds throughout the US and Europe on their feet.

Country, blues, soul, rockabilly, jazz, pop -- these guys play it all. From Memphis soirees to L.A. nightclubs to London television, she's winning thousands of music lovers with her sexy, hip, utterly beguiling approach to Memphis music and rootsy Americana.

Amy's first album in 2005, "The World Is Not My Home," received rave reviews and stellar sales. Her 2007 album, "Anchors and Anvils," reached #6 on Billboard's Americana chart. Her latest album, "Stranger Me," has catapulted her to the top of the Americana world, with extensive tours throughout the US and Europe. She's also got a burgeoning acting career, with appearances in the Johnny Cash biography "Walk the Line" and Craig Brewer's "Black Snake Moan" and "$5 Cover."
